Gaimar is the thick cream used across Maldivian and South Asian kitchens — spooned over a dessert, stirred through a curry to finish it, or used as the base of a sweet. Salim carries it in a plastic cup and as tinned cream, and both are shelf-stable until opened, which is the practical difference from fresh dairy cream on an island. For a kitchen the tin is the working format and the cup is the portioned one. Both are held in the same warehousing as the rest of the Salim range — the cheeses and the Reihan baking line.
